ComfyFloor advances underfloor heating technology providing the first complete 'dry' system comprising:

High Impact Panel: A dense, monolithic structural panel, calibrated to provide a smooth surface and an accurate thickness tolerance allowing the panels to receive a wide range of floor finishes.
  • Standard 16mm thick 1200 x 600mm panels
  • Class 0/Class 1 surface spread of flame
  • Thermal conductivity (K-value) 0.23W/mK
  • Compressive strength 15N/mm²
  • Excellent sound insulation (provides 33dBRw)
  • Resistant to impact damage
Self Regulating Heating Cable: A self-regulating heating cable designed specifically for the ComfyFloor system. Using the latest in cable manufacture technology to provide an extremely efficient and economical method of underfloor heating.
  • Complies with requirements of 16th Edition "Wiring Regulations in Buildings"
  • Standard programmable time and setback air thermostat with core sensor
  • Operates at 230 volts
  • Watts density approx. 80W/m² - 160W/m²
High Performance Insulation Slab: A dense, tissue faced mineral wool with a high compressive strength, specifically formulated for thermal and acoustic insulation in high performance flooring systems.
  • Standard 30mm thick 1200 x 600mm panels
  • Grooved to accept heating cable
  • Class 0 and CFC/HCFC free
  • Thermal conductivity (K-value) 0.038W/mK
  • Can accommodate small irregularities in sub-floor (timber or concrete)
The system's unique design lends itself ideally to provide underfloor heating in all building applications, including:

Residential: housing, barn conversions, flats, apartments and conservatories

Commercial: offices, retail outlets, hospitals and nursing homes

Educational Centres: colleges, schools, nurseries and libraries

ComfyFloor eliminates the delays associated with traditional methods by providing a cost effective alternative heating system. From ground floor upwards the system dispenses with all wet trades and lengthy closures. With its quick and easy installation, it offers same day use.

After installation the systems maintenance-free design allows the user to set an ambience to suit their requirements and benefit from low running costs. By removing unsightly radiators it improves living and working conditions and saves on unnecessary heat loss.

Why electric underfloor heating
Electricity is the most controllable form of energy and offers the most effective means of heat supply in underfloor heating.

Comfy Floor's unique self-regulating cable allows the latent heat stored in the system to be released in such a way as to effectively achieve desired living conditions. The self-regulating characteristic of ComfyFloor ensures that, as the room reaches the desired temperature, the capability of the floor to emit heat diminishes.

Cost
  • Capital cost competitive with conventional radiant systems
  • Ease of installation, no plumbing, no wet trades
  • Significant reduction in energy consumption
  • Integrates with domestic electrical supplies
  • Accepts conventional floor finishes
  • Maintenance free
Comfort
  • Rapidly achieves desired level of comfort
  • Soft, comfortable, uniform heat
  • No convection, no dusts - healthier environment
  • Safe, low, even surface temperature (26-28°C)
  • Greater freedom of interior design and planning
  • Controls humidity, condensation and damp
  • Low thermal losses
System
  • Fitted by trained, Approved installers
  • Integrated floor and heating system
  • Compact thermostatic control
  • No drying out times
  • Complements existing heating arrangements
  • Lightweight (26kg/m²)
  • Excellent acoustic performance
  • No boilers, pumps or manifolds
In areas where a 'foreign body' (cabinet, rug, bean bag etc.) has been positioned on the floor surface the ComfyFloor self-regulating system will detect an increase in floor temperature and subsequently reduce the energy output in that area to maintain an even heat distribution.

The unique design not only prevents localised 'hot spots' but also provides a more efficient system and a noticeable reduction in energy consumption.
