Few common queries have been taken care of in this section.

Q. What floor temperatures can I expect?
A. Floor temperatures can be in the range 25C - 28C. Adjustable to suit personal preference.
Q. Can I control the floor temperature?
A. We offer our control thermostat witch monitors the floor temperature between the actual cable runs under the floor. This enables you to adjust the floor temperature to you personal preference. Additionally as the air temperature within the room is directly effected by the temperature of the floor surface this it turn can be used (where designed) to control the room temperature.
Q. Do I need any special electrical supplies?
A. We would recommend that under floor Heating systems are supplied from an independent electrical cable protected with an RCCD unit suitable rated. Your electrician will be happy to fit this into your fuse box. This unit ensures that any if anyone drills, screws or nails into the cables under the floor it will provide personal protection. All our cable are provided with a robust braided earth screen.
Q. Is there any special tile grout required?
A. A Flexible adhesive or additive should be used - your supplier will provide you with the correct product.
Q. What type of floor finish can I use?
A. Most floor types will be fine with under floor heating - the only real question is in relation to the expected floor temperature. With Easy Warm Self Regulating installations the floor temperature can be regulated generally from 25C to 28C. If any doubts exist consult the provider of the floor finish you intend to use.
Q. Can Under-floor Heating be used as the primary source of Heat?
A. Yes. However there are no real "rule of thumb" guides to make sure the heat load is correct. The heat loss from buildings / rooms can vary dramatically dependant upon the level of insulation and the area of window space. We will be pleased to check out your room conditions to ensure the installed loading will provide the correct room temperatures.
Q. Can this product be used under wooden floors?
A. Please refer to our Heat Safe product line - this is design to
be installed under wooden floors or within a concrete screed. Additionally when a completely "DRY" floor installation is required this can be achieved using our "Comfyfloor" product line.
Q. Can I install Mini Mat ?
A. Anyone can install it as long as they follow the instructions supplied with the heating kit. However, it is advisable for a qualified electrician to connect the heating system to the
electrical supply.

The cable is guaranteed for ten years if installed in accordance with the Installation Instruction.
Q. What happens if the space on the floor is not a rectangle and the mat will not exactly fit ?
A. The Mini Mat can be cut across the width of the mat between the cable loops so that the mat can be bent round to provide e.g. an "L" shape. Care should be taken to avoid damaging the cable. Under no circumstances should the heating cable be cut or shortened.
Q. Will the heat affect the tile adhesive or tiles ?
A. The surface temperature of the ceramic tiled floors will run at approximately 28°C and the adhesive under the tiles will be a few degrees higher. Our associate company Granfix adhesives have confirmed that there adhesive will not be effect in any way by the heating system and provide a 10 year warranty on there products. All Warmfloor products carry a minimum 10 year warranty.
Q. What happens if the floor is drilled ?
A. Floors in which electric heating is installed should not be drilled. However should the cable be damaged, the earthed screen around the cable will protect the operator by causing the electrical protection (RCCD) device at the supply intake position to switch
off the circuit.
Q. How is it controlled ?
A. The system is controlled by the floor temperature sensor and wall mounted electronic Warmfloor thermostat. This provides a floor temperature to suit your needs. The most comfortable surface temperature will be 22°C - 28°C. this is easily adjusted by turning the dial on the thermostat.
Q. Can you install it on a wooden floor ?
A. The system can be installed on a wooden floor. Normally a heat resistant compound is spread on the floor and allowed to set before laying the Mini Mat as intermediate wooden floors can experience some flexing, it may be necessary to brace the floor by laying 15mm plywood and screwing it down at frequent intervals
to limit the flexing so that the tiled floor has a stable base.
Q. Is it guaranteed ?
A. All Warmfloor products are guaranteed for 10 years when installed in accordance with our installation instructions (thermostats and controllers two years).
