Warmfloor Installation

During the installation of your new underfloor heating system it is important you follow these simple steps to ensure your heating system is fully functional and efficient. These installation steps are a guide for you to follow however if there is anything which you are unsure of please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly team for assistance. All mats and cables must be tested before, during and after installation.

Step 1
Measure the room and draw a sketch to help you calculate which WarmFloor mat you require, this can be further explained in the “How to choose the right mat” section. Then sketch in the position of the heating cable system.

Step 2
Select the best position of your control unit (Thermostat), Installing the thermostat can be seen in the “Installation of your thermostat” section

Step 3
Clean the floor thoroughly, removing all dirt and debris, then lay out the self-adhesive cable mat. Pre planning your layout of the mats and cables will ensure your are not caught short of space and distance.

Step 4
From your starting position, roll the mat out till you reach the end of your run, cut through the netting to turn the mat over - but make sure that you do not cut through the cable, repeat until your floor is completely covered.

Step 5
Once you have positioned the cable mat and you are happy then you can completely cover it using self levelling screed or cover it with a thin layer of tile adhesive.
